PBR — 22 Years of Indonesian OEM Rubber Manufacturing
PBR (PT. Putrabangun Rubberindo) was founded in 2003 in Slipi, Jakarta. Today: a 10,000 sqm Cikupa factory, 65 molding machines, primarily in-house mold manufacturing, SGS-certified ISO 9001:2015. This is the story.
2003 — Founded in Slipi, Jakarta
PBR started on a 200 sqm shop floor in Slipi, Jakarta. The focus from day one: OEM-grade rubber parts for the Japanese automotive supply chain operating in Indonesia. Bilingual EN/JA technical correspondence was not a marketing afterthought — it was the operating language of the customer base from the founding.
2006 — Relocated to 10,000 sqm Cikupa Facility
As customer demand grew, the Slipi shop floor became too small. In 2006 we relocated to a purpose-built 10,000 sqm facility in Cikupamas, Tangerang, Banten, shared with our sister company PT. Putra Cipta Jaya Sentosa. The Cikupa facility is where production runs today, and where every customer program since 2006 has been delivered from.
2009 — Certified to ISO 9001:2008
Six years after founding, PBR achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification covering the manufacture of rubber and rubber-to-metal bonded parts. The certification formalised the quality system that customer programs had already been validating in practice.
2009–2010 — Recognised as Hino Best Supplier
The same year as ISO certification, PT. Hino Motors Sales Indonesia named PT. Putrabangun Rubberindo as Best Supplier 2009. The recognition was formally presented on 25 January 2010, signed by President Director Toshiro Mizutani.
For an Indonesian rubber-parts manufacturer to be named Best Supplier by a Japanese-OEM principal of Hino's standing was — and is — a significant validation of the underlying compounding, molding, bonding, and QC disciplines. A subsequent Best Vendor Performance 2010 recognition followed.

SGS-Certified ISO 9001:2015 — Continuously Maintained
The ISO certification has been continuously upgraded. Currently certified to ISO 9001:2015 by SGS, one of the world's most-recognised certification bodies.
Two Decades of Continuous Focus
Many of our competitors entered the Indonesian rubber-parts market in the last 5–10 years. We have been running OEM-grade programs continuously since 2003 — through commodity cycles, currency cycles, and Japanese-OEM model transitions. The compounding knowledge, the bonding-agent experience, the customer-specific QC programs that exist on our QC bench today — none of it is new. It's the cumulative output of 22 years of single-focus execution.
